About A. K. Gallagher

Alessandra K. Gallagher is an Australian fantasy author, poet, and artist living in regional New South Wales. A finalist of the Cowley Literary Award for "The Widow's Wail", she is currently working on Book III of the GODLESS fantasy series, THE FALL OF THE GUARDIANS due for release early 2021.

A writer from an early age, Alessandra’s influences include the poetry of Edgar Allan Poe, T.S. Elliot, and Keates, and the work of George Orwell, J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis.

Her life-long fascination with ancient Egyptian culture, Lawrence of Arabia, and the nomadic Bedouins of Wadi Rum, Jordan, led Alessandra to the Middle East, where she lived and worked in Egypt, Jordan, and Syria as a Tour Leader.

Captivated by modern Egypt against the ruins of the ancient world, she guided tourists across the ancient sites and spent time in the Western Desert oases with the Bedouin, absorbing their culture and visiting locations off the tourist track.

A. K. Gallagher has combined her love of ancient history, fascination with religious belief systems, and storytelling into her work. Her current projects include the Godless Fantasy Series, and research on ancient Celtic culture, witchcraft, and modern day cults for her upcoming Dystopian novel - THE LESSER .
